I can't believe that this was Drawn Together's season finale! Or that the new season won't come until Fall 2005! Still, it was great and hilarious, as they parodied The Apprentice and ended by striking a blow in the name of all the people screwed over on reality TV. Next season... Survivor? While in the bookstore I browsed Gravitation vol 1 (because I've heard people mention it), The Wallflower vol 1 (because the cover was pretty), and Descendants of Darkness vol 2. I need an icon of Ling Ling snapping on the rubber gloves to do dishes. I've looked, and I've found him throwing up his hands in disgust at the sink and another in which he uses a sponge scrubber, but none with the gloves! Lost has been annoying me lately. Do we have to have a run of flashbacks every episode? They're starting to make me snicker like the ones on Kung Fu and Highlander.

I'm not going to pursue Megas XLR. It's a smart show... featuring dumb characters. I have a problem following stupid people who leave destruction in their wake. If it's on and I remember, fine, but I won't work at it.

I'm sticking with Drawn Together. Last night's episode was offensive and chockful of "so wrong..." but funny. Even Spanky Hamm and Toot had some amusing moments, to my utter shock. I hadn't realized until this episode that Foxxy Love is a takeoff of Hanna Barbara characters, particularly Josie and the Pussycats. The musical interlude revealed it. ( Read more... )

Drawn Together was trying too hard to be offensive to everybody, but I'll give it another chance since it has its moments. Pilots can often be rough. To my surprise, my favorite character is Ling Ling, a psychotic Pikachu takeoff who speaks in "Japanese" with subtitles. Ah, and there's a lot of f/f tongue kissing just in the first episode.
